Assessment
Following intake the patients are scheduled for a behavioral assessment, which includes an extensive interview to determine treatment needs. From this assessment, it is determined the focus of the treatment that will occur between the patient and the counselor.
Outpatient
The Mental Health program at Recovery Defined offers diverse services to meet our patients’ needs, including individual, group, and family therapy. Our team utilizes evidence-based therapies to address the therapeutic needs of our patients. Counseling approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
We use a solution-focused approach that is person-centered with quality of life improvement as a goal. Our counselors are trained to meet a full range of behavioral services. The treatment received is a partnership between the patient and the counselor and the psychiatrist if identified.
The patient will receive individual sessions that will address their treatment needs. These will be scheduled according to the need identified with the patient. Initially these will occur weekly. In these sessions the patient and the counselor will address the identified goals on the patient’s person-centered-treatment plan.
Psychiatric Services
At the patients request they can be scheduled to be evaluated for medications with our psychiatrist. They will meet with the psychiatrist who may prescribe medication to help control their symptoms, but the counselor will want to help you understand these symptoms and discuss the options with you. Our psychiatrist provides clinical evaluation, psychopharmacological treatment and support to patients with complex mental health issues. Our psychiatrist has expertise in treating complex psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, and psychosis.
